Setahun belakangan ini, di pasaran mulai tersedia AC dengan watt yang lebih rendah. Sharp, salah satunya, mengeluarkan Sayonara panas 2 dengan kapasitas ½ PK 330 watt, ¾ PK 540 watt, dan 1 PK 690 watt. Merek lainnya yaitu LG, mengeluarkan Neo Plasma Plus Ion dengan kapasitas di antarannya ½ PK 320 watt, ¾ PK 590 watt, dan 1 PK 795 watt.
Sebetulnya perbedaan ini tidak terlalu jauh, begitu juga harganya. AC sebelumnya, untuk kapasitas ½ PK kira-kira membutuhkan daya 390 watt. Tapi untuk orang Indonesia (yang cukup sensitive dengan urusan listrik karena harga tarifnya naik terus), inovasi ini cukup menarik perhatian. Pertanyaan yang mungkin muncul adalah apakah AC watt lebih rendah ini bisa sama dinginnya dengan AC-AC sebelumnya?

Tingkat Dingin
Selama ini kita mengenal tingkat dingin AC berdasarkan satuan PK. Ada AC ½ PK, ¾ PK, 1 PK, 2 PK. Sebenarnya PK (Paard Kracht) adalah besar daya kompresor AC atau Input daya yang dibutuhkan. Sedangkan yang menunjukkan tingkat dingin AC atau Output-nya adalah BTU (British thermal unit). Semakin tinggi angka BTU-nya, semakin tinggi dingin yang dihasilkan sebuah AC. Dan harganya pun saling menyesuaikan.

Apa kaitan watt dengan angka BTU ini? Pemahaman dasarnya, semakin tinggi BTU-nya, berarti semakin tinggi kompresor artinya semakin besar listrik yang dibutuhkan. Bila melihat pada hal ini, berarti AC yang wattnya yang lebih rendah, tidak sedingin dengan wattnya lebih tinggi.

Pilih Se-pas Mungkin
Secara teori hal tersebut bisa dikatakan benar. Tapi, untuk mendapatkan kenyamanan (artinya tingkat dingin yang pas dengan yang kita butuhkan), menurut Hendy Setiawan, AC Product Asst. Manager Sharp Elektronic Indonesia, ada satu kunci yang paling penting, yaitu memilih AC dengan kapasitas se-pas mungkin dengan ukuran ruangan. Urusan harga baru menyusul.

Banyak orang mengeluh bahwa AC-nya tidak dingin. Setelah diselidiki, ternyata penyebabnya adalah kapasitas AC yang dibeli tidak mencukupi untuk luas ruang yang dimiliki. Secara sederhana, menghitung kebutuhan AC adalah mengalikan luas ruangan dengan angka 500 (500 ini adalah koofesien). Hasilnya angka didapat angka BTU. Nah, kita tinggal “mengkonversikan” angka tersebut menjadi PK. Ini adalah rumus sederhana yang bisa digunakan siapa saja. Penghitungan sesungguhnya sangatlah rumit, karena memperhitungkan bahan-bahan perabot yang ada didalam ruangan tersebut, jumlah jendela, dan sebagainya.

Untuk ruangan dengan lebar 3 m dan panjang 4 m, inilah perhitungannya. 3x4x500 = 6000 BTU (tinggi ruangan dianggap standart, yaitu 3 m).

Berdasarkan table, kita bisa melihat bahwa angka 6000 berada diantara ½ PK dan ¾ PK. Jadi kita bisa memilih AC ½ PK atau ¾ PK. Tapi untuk kasus seperti ini sebaiknya kita memilih ¾ pk. Mengapa demikian ? karena bila kita memili AC ½ pk, untuk mendinginkan ruangan kita cendrung akan menyetel Ac di suhu yang lebih dingin dibandinkang bila kita memilih Ac 1 pk. Ini bererti bila kita menggunakan AC ½ pk, ia akan bekerja lebih berat dibandingkan AC ¾ pk. Dengan pilihan kapasitas yang tepat, kita bisa mendapatkan tingkat dingin yang pas sehingga kenyamanan pun diraih.

Inovasi
Kenyamanan juga bisa didapat berkat inovasi teknologi di bidang AC. Salah satu di antaranya, menurut Eryento, RAC PM Marketing Departement LG Electronic, evaporator yang digunakan saat ini berbeda dengan yang sebelumnya sehingga dingin yang di dapat pada AC watt rendah tetap sama dengan AC sebelumnya. Hendy pun menjelaskan bahwa teknologi baru memungkinkan hembusan angin menjadi lebih kencang dan juga lebih jauh. Hembusan yang lebih kencang dan jauh ini berdampak pada rasa dingin yang kita terima. Sayonata Panas 2 dari Sharp, misalnya, memiliki fitur jetstream, yaitu sirip mengarah kebawah, dengan hembusan angin lebih kencang dan lebih dingin. Sedangan Neo Plasma Plus Ion 320 watt dari LG memiliki fitur serupa yaitu JetCool.

Neo Plasma Plus Ion 320 watt ini telah diuji di laboratorium Fakultas Teknik Elektro UI, dan terbukti mengkomsumsi daya listrik sebesar muatan yang di publikasikan. Menurut pengujian tersebut, AC ini hanya membutuhkan daya listrik sebesar 1,96761 KWH dengan average 320 watt tang diatur pada suhu 18 derajat Celcius selama enam jam. Bila di konversikan di dalam hitungan biaya, maka biaya yang harus di keluarkan untuk pemakaian AC ini adalah Rp 975 per hari. Harga ekonomis dan tetap dingin.

Mengapa AC Tidak Dingin
Masalah AC tidak dingin disebabkan oleh banyak faktor. Untuk mendapatkan hasil maksimal dari AC, menurut Hendy Setiawan, AC Product Asst. Manager PT Sharp Elektronic Indonesia, pilihlah AC yang sesuai dengan ruangan. Bila posisi kamar menghadap barat, mungkin perlu membeli AC dengan kapasitas sedikit lebih besar. Jangan terlalu sering menghidup-matikan AC, karena itu akan membuat kompresor bekerja keras, yang ujung-ujungnya akan membuat cepat rusak.

Masalah posisi, Hendy menyarankan untuk tidak meletakkan AC tepat berhadap-hadapan dengan pintu karena udara dinginnya akan keluar ruangan. Jangan juga meletakkan unit indoor di atas lemari, karena udara dinginnya akan memantul. Jarak antara unit indoor dan outdoor sebaiknya 1,5 - 5 m.

Sedangkan Eryenton, RAC PM Marketing Departement LG Electronics, sering menemui kasus pemasangan AC yang terlalu dekat dengan plapon. Menurutnya, udara masuk kedalam AC melalui bagian atas, sehingga bila AC terlalu dekat dengan plapon, sirkulasi udara terasa tidak dingin. Jarak ideal AC dengan plapon menurut Ery sekitar 30 cm. Selain itu , filter yang kotor juga akan menghambat sirkulasi udara.

Karena itu rajin-rajin membersihkannya. Satu bulan sekali, cucilah filter sendiri. Tiga bulan sekali, cucilah evevolator (unit indoor) menggunakan jasa servis AC. ***

Two of the most common issues in network marketing are 'retention' and 'motivation'. In other words, once you've built a good downline, how do you keep them motivated to stay in and work the program? The last thing you want is an unmotivated, lazy downline. Success in any MLM is built on interdependent relationships. You depend on your downline's performance, as it is directly tied to your profits.

Likewise, your downline depends on YOU to teach them how to duplicate your success. This is key. Your dowline wants the big bucks as much as you do; but, they will quickly despair of achieving this goal if they don't see a clear path towards it. So, in large part, motivation rests on training your downline. This means giving them real skills that will lead to measurable results.

What type of skills do they need?

This depends on their experience level. One of the first things you should do is survey your downline to find out what they're up against. Some of them may be totally new to multi-level-marketing. In response, you need to give them an easy-to-follow marketing system. This should be a step-by-step system that covers lead generation, follow-up and conversion. Those are the three most important elements in marketing any MLM.

Next, you must show them how to execute that system effectively. This is critical to helping them duplicate your results.

After this training, a good portion of your downline should be getting good results, and very happy to be in the program. BUT, you can't let them rest on their laurels. Don't let them settle for 100 sales per month when they could easily make 200 sales per month. Jangan mudah tergiur dengan berbagai tawaran.
Banyak produsen yang menawarkan berbagai macam kelebihan dan keunggulan sebuah produk. Namun, kita sebagai calon pembeli, hendaknya jangan mudah tergiur dengan berbagai tawaran tersebut. Pertimbangkan keuntungan dan kerugian yang ada di balik penawaran tersebut. Selain itu pertimbangkan pula kemudahan saat membeli kendaraan atau mobil baru tersebut. TIP - How to avoid extra costs at the end of your lease

$250 to dispose of your vehicle, $1000 for extra miles you put on the clock
and $200 to replace the light bulb and the worn tyres—lease agents
constantly nickel-and-dime consumers when their lease runs out.
Here’s a rundown of what can trigger those fees, and some steps to take in
self-defense.
Disposition fee: leasing companies charge you if you choose not to buy the
vehicle at the end of your lease. This fee is set as compensation for the
expenses of selling, or otherwise disposing of the vehicle. It typically
includes administrative charges; the dealer’s cost to prepare the car for
resale and any other penalties. Make sure this fee is stated clearly in the
contract and is agreeable by you before signing on the dotted line. At
lease-end, you are left in no position to negotiate as the dealer can apply
your refundable security deposit towards this fee.

Excess mileage charges: Almost all leasing companies will charge a premium
for each mile over the agreed upon mileage stated in your contract. This
penalty can be as high as 25 cents per mile and can add up quickly. To
avoid the risk of running thousands of dollars in excess mileage penalties
at the end of your lease, always check the “per mile” charges in your
contract and be realistic about your mileage before you sign any contract.
If you think the limit is unrealistic given your commutation needs, then
negotiate with the dealer to get a higher mileage or contract for
additional miles.

Excess tear-and-wear charges: Another potential cost at the end of the
lease is any incidental damage done to the car during the lease. This is
deemed any excessive damage done to the normal tear and wear of the vehicle.
Notice the use of the terms “deemed”, “excessive” and “normal”. There is no
standard formula to define what’s “excessive” and “normal” and it’s up to
the leasing company to assess – or deem – the damage and determine what
they are going to charge. This leaves you at the mercy of unscrupulous
leasing agents who set stringent tear-and-wear standards. Make sure you
read the description of these standards, understand them and agree to them.
If your leased vehicle is damaged prior to the end of the lease, you may
find it cheaper to repair the damage yourself than pay the excessive charges
of the leasing agent. In the event of a dispute over the charges at the end
of your lease, get an independent third party to do a professional appraisal
detailing the amount required to repair any damaged parts or the amount by
which tear-and-wear reduces the value of the vehicle. ***
